Terms of Service

1. Service description

Resuvia is an AI-powered resume builder and career document platform that enables users to create, edit, tailor, analyse, and export professional resumes and cover letters. The Service includes features such as AI-powered resume tailoring, ATS (Applicant Tracking System) compatibility scoring, AI quality analysis, inline content rewriting, AI-generated suggestions, template selection, resume import from uploaded documents, and multi-format document export.

The Service is offered in three tiers:

• Free: access to all professional templates, AI inline rewrites and suggestions, ATS compatibility scoring, AI quality scoring, and TXT export. PDF and DOCX exports, AI tailoring, and cover letter generation are not available on the Free tier.
• 7-Day Pass: a one-time purchase (currently priced at £3) that unlocks all features for seven consecutive days from the date of purchase, including PDF and DOCX exports, AI tailoring, and cover letter generation. The pass does not auto-renew. Multiple passes may be purchased; their durations will stack (each new pass extends access by an additional seven days).
• Pro: a monthly recurring subscription (currently priced at £24.99 per month) that provides ongoing access to all features with enhanced usage allowances. The subscription auto-renews monthly until cancelled.

We reserve the right to modify the features, pricing, and availability of any tier at any time. Any changes to pricing will not affect active subscriptions or unexpired passes until the next renewal or purchase.

2. Eligibility and account registration

To use the Service, you must be at least 16 years of age. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

Accounts are created using a valid email address. We authenticate users via passwordless magic-link emails sent to your registered email address. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of the email account associated with your Resuvia account, and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You may not create multiple accounts for the purpose of circumventing usage policies, abusing free-tier allowances, or any other purpose that violates these Terms. We reserve the right to merge or terminate duplicate accounts.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Specifically, you agree not to:

• Use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful, fraudulent, or prohibited by these Terms
• Submit content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, or that infringes on the intellectual property rights or privacy of others
• Create resumes or cover letters containing deliberately false, misleading, or fabricated information with the intent to deceive employers
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other user accounts, or our servers and infrastructure
• Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or crawlers to access, extract, or interact with the Service without our prior written permission
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service
• Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or any content generated through it without our prior written permission
• Intentionally overload, disrupt, or interfere with the proper functioning of the Service or its underlying infrastructure
• Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the Service, including rate limiting, access controls, or authentication mechanisms
• Use the Service to develop or train competing products or services

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without prior notice.

4. Your content and intellectual property

You retain full ownership of all content you create, upload, or input into the Service, including your resume data, cover letters, personal information, and any other materials you provide ("Your Content"). We do not claim any intellectual property rights over Your Content.

By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to process, store, transmit, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This includes transmitting Your Content to third-party AI service providers for the purpose of delivering AI-powered features such as tailoring, scoring, rewriting, suggestions, and cover letter generation. This licence terminates when you delete your account or the relevant content.

You represent and warrant that you have the right to submit all content you provide to the Service and that Your Content does not infringe on the rights of any third party.

5. Payment, subscriptions, and billing

5.1 General

All prices are displayed and charged in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Payments are processed securely by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. We do not store your credit or debit card details on our servers.

5.2 Pro subscription

The Pro subscription is billed monthly on a recurring basis. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period, after which your account will revert to the Free tier. No prorated refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

5.3 7-Day Pass

The 7-Day Pass is a one-time purchase that grants access to all paid features for seven consecutive days from the moment of purchase. It does not auto-renew. You may purchase additional passes at any time; each new pass extends your access period by seven days from the later of the current expiry date or the date of the new purchase.

5.4 Cancellation and refund policy

Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers have a 14-day cooling-off period for online purchases of digital content. However, by completing a purchase of a 7-Day Pass or Pro subscription, you expressly consent to the immediate provision of digital content and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right to cancel under the 14-day cooling-off period.

Accordingly, all purchases, including 7-Day Passes and Pro subscription payments, are generally non-refundable. If you believe you have been charged in error or have experienced a genuine technical issue that prevented you from accessing paid features, please contact us at support@resuvia.com and we will review your case on an individual basis. We reserve the right to issue refunds at our sole discretion.

5.5 Price changes

We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. If you have an active Pro subscription, we will notify you of any price increase at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree to the new pricing, you may cancel your subscription before the next billing date.

6. AI-powered features

The Service includes features powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies provided by third-party services. AI-powered features include but are not limited to resume tailoring, quality scoring, ATS compatibility analysis, inline content rewrites, AI suggestions, cover letter generation, and resume import parsing.

AI-generated content is provided on a best-effort basis as a starting point and suggestion tool. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, suitability, or fitness for purpose of any AI-generated content. AI outputs may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate suggestions. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all AI-generated content before including it in your resume, cover letter, or any document you submit to employers or any other party.

We are not liable for any consequences arising from your use of AI-generated content, including but not limited to missed job opportunities, inaccurate information on submitted applications, or any other damages resulting from reliance on AI outputs.

7. Fair use and service integrity

To ensure a reliable and high-quality experience for all users, we apply reasonable usage policies on certain features, including AI-powered operations. These policies are designed to prevent abuse, maintain service stability, and distribute resources fairly across our user base.

Usage allowances vary by plan and may be adjusted by us at our sole discretion at any time without prior notice. If you exceed the applicable usage thresholds, access to certain features may be temporarily restricted until the next usage period. We do not guarantee specific usage quantities or availability of AI-powered features at any given time.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including but not limited to its design, user interface, source code, algorithms, resume templates, branding, logos, graphics, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by IRIXSOFT LTD and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws of England and Wales and international treaties.

Resume templates provided within the Service are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use through the Service only. You may export and use resumes and cover letters created with our templates for job applications and professional purposes. You may not extract, redistribute, resell, or sublicense the templates themselves.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works based on the Service or any part of it without our prior written consent.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.

Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that:

• The Service will be available at all times or without interruption
• The Service will be free from errors, bugs, or security vulnerabilities
• Any content generated by AI features will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your needs
• The use of our templates or AI features will result in job interviews, offers, or any particular employment outcome
• The Service will be compatible with all devices, browsers, or operating systems

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IRIXSOFT LTD, its directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunities
• Loss of employment opportunities or adverse employment outcomes
• Costs of procurement of substitute services
• Damage to reputation or goodwill
• Any other intangible losses

arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for any and all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty pounds sterling (£50), whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless IRIXSOFT LTD, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Any content you submit through the Service that infringes on the rights of a third party

12. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time through the account settings page or by contacting us at support@resuvia.com. Upon account deletion, all your personal data, resume content, cover letters, and associated records will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without prior notice if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or abusive activity, or if your use of the Service poses a risk to us, our infrastructure, or other users. In the event of termination for cause, you are not entitled to any refund of prepaid fees.

13. Modifications to the Service and Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any part of it at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or an in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after the revised Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.

14. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Nothing in this clause shall prevent either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement of intellectual property rights.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unenforceable, or illegal by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving the original intent of the parties.

16. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and IRIXSOFT LTD regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications, whether written or oral, relating to the subject matter hereof.
